Greater Manchester Metro Mayor – Policy Hustings

As the political campaigns for Greater Manchester Mayor gain momentum The University of Manchester and IPPR North have invited all candidates to a policy focused hustings where they will be grilled on their visions for Greater Manchester.

The hustings will be chaired by Jennifer Williams, Political and Social Affairs Editor at the Manchester Evening News. Academics from the University will be highlighting policy issues around economic growth, housing and healthcare (to name a few areas). If you’d like to put a question to the candidates please do so by emailing policy@manchester.ac.uk

The new Mayor will have powers over transport, planning and housing and the outcome of the election in May will have a huge impact on the future of Greater Manchester. This hustings invites all the candidates to put forward their policy ideas across a range of issues affecting Greater Manchester.

The event will start promptly at 6pm so please arrive no later than 5:30pm and please bring photographic identification for the registration process. You will not be allowed entry without ID.

The event is organised by IPPR North and Policy@Manchester and the Devo Manc hub both of which are part of The University of Manchester.
