News from the Inclusive Growth Analysis Unit: May 2017

It has been a busy few weeks at IGAU!
Last week IGAU published the 2017 version of JRF’s Inclusive Growth Monitor for Local Enterprise Partnerships. This shows how LEPs have fared between 2010 and 2015 on 18 indicators of prosperity and inclusion.

IGAU have also released another in their series of policy briefing papers; “Financing Inclusive Growth with a Greater Manchester Community Bank” by Marianne Sensier. Next week will see the publication of a further paper, on how the new GM Mayor can use the planning system to promote inclusive growth, by Stuart Macdonald of the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES).
Understanding the geography and dynamics of neighbourhood deprivation in Greater Manchester continues to be a key theme.

Ruth Lupton has been working on a new report on education and skills in Greater Manchester, which IGAU will be launching on 28 June at 5pm at the Manchester Institute of Education.
