Manchester Urban Institute researchers amongst contributors to Greater Manchester mayoral policy briefing
6 April 2017
The Policy@Manchester team have drawn on the expertise of academics at The University of Manchester and external partners to develop some key recommendations and challenges for whoever is elected next month.
The briefing focuses on five themes which were identified as the key policy areas for the election, based on the candidates’ manifestos and the Manchester Evening News’ survey of over 10,000 residents in Greater Manchester; health and social care, housing, jobs, inclusivity and transport. All of the candidates will also receive a copy of this briefing, inviting them to submit their responses to the points raised and their commitments on the issues, which Policy@Manchester will collate and publish before the election.
