A round-up of MUI staff activities 19 to 23 June 2017

Just a selection of the talks, workshops, conference presentations etc MUI colleagues have been busy with this week.

19/20 June

Erik Swyngedouw and Saskia Warren attended the Nordic Geographers' Meeting in Stockholm. Erik attended a meeting of the CRUSH project supervisory board and participated in a parnel on 'Urban Uprising'. Saskia presented two papers on "Pluralising the walking interview: researching (im)mobilities with Muslim women" on Monday 19 and "Placing faith in creative labour: work-based activism of Muslim women in the UK cultural and creative economy" on Tuesday 20. 

20 June

Jonny Darling was interviewed on BBC Radio Sheffield talking about City of Sanctuary. Here is a clip from that interview: 

21 June

Stefan Bouzarovski was a key contributor at the EU Sustainable Energy Week conference, speaking on 'Energy Poverty and how to tackle it'.
