GURC staff

Research Associates

The GURC Research Associates Group is comprised of research colleagues from both within the University of Manchester, and from other universities and research centres, who share an intellectual commitment to academic research on urban development in cities in the south, and an interest in developing joint research proposals.

PhD researchers

GURC staff are supervising a number of PhD students engaged in studies related to urban development in the global South. We welcome applications for doctoral studies particularly in areas linked to our research.

Your registration will be either with the Institute for Development Policy and Management or with Planning and Environmental Management within the School of Environment, Education and Development.

Internal advisory group

GURC's Internal Advisory Group comprises colleagues from within the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) who share an institutional commitment to GURC, its objectives and research agenda.

The IAG provides critical advice on both strategic and operational decisions, including those related to postgraduate courses convened by GURC staff.
